My name is Patrick Hogan and am a junior at Southern Illinois University. My major is advertisement and am minoring in marketing. Some day I plan to be an account executive of a marketing agency that develops advertisement campaigns for different companies.
My name is Adam Colin and I am a Junior at Southern Illinois University. I am studying Speech communications, public relations, and have am working for a minor in English. I like to hang out with my friends, exercise when possible and do the college thing. I also like long walks on the beach, if there were a beach to walk along.
Hello my name is Sterling but I prefer to go by Nick. I am a Speech Comm major and a junior. I am wondering how I'm going to afford the text book for this and the rest of my classes so it may require me to beg on the corner for change.... just kidding...... maybe.
Hi, I'm Meghan. I am a transfer student from Shawnee Community College. My major is English and my goal is to one day teach high school English. I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, shopping, going to the movies, overall just having fun and living life.
My name is Mandie Davis. I am a junior majoring in elementary education. I have lived in DuQuoin Illinois all of my life. I am married and I have four children. They are ages 9,8,6,4.
Hi, my name is Savannah but I go by Sav because my name is very long to write over and over again. I'm 20 years old and a junior here at Southern. My major is English education with emphasis in Western Literature and Greek Mythology. I spent some time over the summer studying abroad in Greece, which turned out to be the best decision I have ever made. I spend most of my time here reading and spending time with my best friends and boyfriend. I'm allergic to bananas and I don't like cheese. I'm also running out of things to say so hopefully this will do! I'm excited for this class and I hope to get a lot out of it!

I like to go out and have fun and just hang out with friends. This is my second semester at SIUC.I love it here!I love food! I have two dogs and two siblings.
My name is Seth Richardson. I'm a junior Secondary Education - English major. I transferred from Spoon River College in Macomb, IL after two years there. I intend to finish my BA at Southern and attempt to get into Oxford School of English in the United Kingdom to tackle a more in-depth English program. After my MA is complete I want to teach overseas for awhile before returning to finish my Doctoral studies.
I'm from Monmouth, IL, about 45 minutes from Peoria. I like sports, live music, and world traveling.
My name is Mary Joiner but I prefere to go by my middle name Lindi. I am a transfer student and this is my first year here. My major is Speech Communications with a specialy in Public Relations. After graduation i hope to be an event planner.
I'm Sam, i always like to start off by saying i'm a musician, i am a drummer for 8 and a half years. Funny story is i shouldn't be attending SIU at all. My band (a death metal band) was suppose to leave on tour freshman year; our management left us and disappeared off the face of the earth. Actually this year as well, i was suppose to join a different band and leave of tour with them this fall but i already paid 3 months worth of rent at my place here, and i couldn't just leave my roommates and money behind. But now since i'm here i am an advertising major in my sophomore year. If you ever want to talk music, i'd love to, i like all styles and types.

I'm in my junior year and was recently accepted into the Teacher Education Program. I am hoping to eventually teach high school English. In my spare time, I like to watch sporting events, go to concerts, or do outdoor activities. I'm really looking forward to this class because I want to improve my grammatical skills before I enter the classroom as an educator.

I have a variety of interests including: playing rugby, playing guitar, listening to music, reading, writing, cooking, and going out with friends.I am currently a Saluki Peer Mentor in University Hall on the second floor. I hope to join the Peace Corps. after graduation in order to help out those in need. I really enjoy the outdoors and being active.
My name is Darce Olund E is my real first name but I don't go by it. Darce is my middle name. My major is journalism I just recently changed it to that. I like to read and I absolutely adore music. I think Carbondale is a wonderful I've had some of the best times here in the past 3 years. I'm a junior this year. Over the summer I worked at my local pool teaching swim lessons and doing the register. I have a younger sister named Sydney and my roommates and I are probably getting a dog sometime in the near future :)
My name is Ashley Burks and I am a public relations major with a minor in journalism. I originally wanted to major in business but I'm not strong in math so i decided to switch. I love to hang out with my friends and watching television. I also enjoy going to a party from time to time. This year i am primarily focused on my academics instead of the social aspect of college. I plan on graduating a year early so I'm getting ready for that next chapter in my life.
My name is Brianne Jackson. I graduated from Pope County High School in 2007. I am an Elementary Education major. I graduated from SIC in Spring 2009 and transferred to SIU this semester. I have wanted to be a teacher ever since I was little. I love working with children of all ages. I look forward to this class and meeting all of you.

I am also a volleyball coach at the local elementary school.I enjoy playing sports and hanging out with my friends and family.
Hi my name is Zachary Walston. I am from Marion, Illinois and I am a Jr. in the School of Journalism specializing in Advertising. I am not sure exactly what I would like to do with my major but I hope to move west maybe to Colorado or California. I have a four year old son named Javan who keeps me very busy all of the time. It is located amongst the northwest suburbs of Chicago. I've been living in Carbondale for four years and I can't wait to graduate in the spring!
My name is Mackenzie Ditto, I am from Herrin, IL. and my major is English education at the high school level. I just recently moved to Carbondale and I really like it. I constantly change my hair; the color, the style, the length, it is hard to recognize me if you don't know me. I am very sad that summer is over, it is my favorite season, I love Sunset Concerts. :) Music is my joy in life, all types of music. That's me. :)

My name is Drew Fines and I am an integrated marketing and advertising major with a minor in psych. I just transferred back to SIUC after spending a couple of years at home. I competed in the Mr. SIU bodybuilding show my freshman year and may compete again this year depending on how the year goes. I like to have a good time.
My name is Ashley Vivarelli and I'm a junior majoring in integrated marketing and advertising with a minor in marketing. I'm from Sterling Illinois. I was very active in high school from Basketball, Cheerleading, Volleyball, and Softball I didn't have a lot of time with anything else. I was offered a scholarship to play basketball at a community college back home but simply denied it because I wasn't sure if I really wanted to play. I'm happy with the decision I made but sometimes wonder what I would be doing now if I had gone with the other choice. I love being in Carbondale I think the people and atmosphere is wonderful. I plan on graduating in the spring of 2011 and hopefully one day will be working for the Chicago Cubs:)
Howdy. My name is Kate Belden and I am a senior transfer student. I graduated from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota in 2000 with a degree in English but foolishly never thought about how practical that was until the reality of finding a job slapped me in the face. I've lived in Carterville with my husband and two kids for the last six years and worked at the Circuit City Distribution Center for the last four. In February, my husband and I lost our jobs there, and we have both returned to school to become teachers.
